What could be more peaceful than a house on the edge of a lake, in the heart of the Siberian steppes or a remote, timeless region? When winter sets in, the lake is covered with a veil of ice, and silence descends. The birds desert the sky, the aquatic fauna falls asleep, and the forest animals hibernate. Meanwhile, huddled in our refuge on the frozen lake, we surrender to this same tranquility. By the light of a wood fire, enveloped in warmth, we make winter a meditative interlude, suspended until the return of spring. And in the meantime, happy new year 2026!
