As those of us with a strong sense of the past will know, nostalgia is something we have all experienced. Like Ulysses returning to Ithaca after his odyssey, we feel a certain regret for our roots, for our personal history, or for times we may not even have known. How we'd love to dance in the crowd at a Belle Époque ball, how we wish we'd been at Woodstock! Let's make the most of today, but let's not forget where we came from, let's take that trip back in time we've always fantasized about! Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away...
