Nature is primarily the subject and this is offered as a contemplative experience.
The Miroir de Keiko Nakamura series draws on the elegance of ancestral Japanese traditions. Layer after layer — gesso, gold leaf, wax patina — build a poetic metaphor of the mirror as a spiritual and introspective object. Imperfections are embraced, echoing the wabi-sabi aesthetic, and inviting us to reflect on the beauty of what is fragile and transient.
